Sufficient Knowledge Omission Error and Redundant Disjoint Relation in Ontology

چکیده
Ontology evaluation is as important as its designing and application. Researchers have identified different errors which should be catered in ontology evaluation process and classified them in error’s taxonomy. We have found that some important errors are missing in the error’s taxonomy. We have identified and defined new errors i.e. sufficient knowledge omis-sion error (SKO) and redundancy disjoint relation error (RDR) and catego-rized them in appropriate category of error’s taxonomy.

Algorithms for the Evaluation of Ontologies for Extended Error Taxonomy and their Application on Large Ontologies
Ontology evaluation is an integral and important part of the ontology development process. Errors in ontologies could be catastrophic for the information system based on those ontologies. As per our experiments, the existing ontology evaluation systems were unable to detect many errors (like, circulatory error in class and property hierarchy, common class and property in disjoint decomposition,...
متن کاملQuery Architecture Expansion in Web Using Fuzzy Multi Domain Ontology
Due to the increasing web, there are many challenges to establish a general framework for data mining and retrieving structured data from the Web. Creating an ontology is a step towards solving this problem. The ontology raises the main entity and the concept of any data in data mining. In this paper, we tried to propose a method for applying the "meaning" of the search system, But the problem ...

This paper is an attempt to develop a new ontology for knowledge management (KM) technologies, determining the relationships between these technologies and classification of them. The study applies NOY methodology. Protégé software and OWL language are used for building the ontology. The presented ontology is evaluated with abbreviation and consistency criteria and knowledge retrieval of KM tec...
متن کاملAn OWL Ontology for Biographical Knowledge. Representing Time-Dependent Factual Knowledge
Representing time-dependent information has become increasingly important for reasoning and querying services defined on top of RDF and OWL. In particular, addressing this task properly is vital for practical applications such as modern biographical information systems, but also for the Semantic Web/Web 2.0/Social Web in general. Extending binary relation instances with temporal information oft...
متن کاملAutomatic Evaluation Of Computer Science thesis Using Domain Ontology
Because of advanced in word process technologies, spell checking and grammar checks have become instant. Nonetheless, checking abstract errors from any given text has received little attention from similar researches. An example for abstract error is falsehood. The detection of abstract errors on any plain text is a challenging task for computers. Two of the major challenges are the unstructure...
